AI Builder brings advanced artificial intelligence capabilities directly into the Microsoft Power Platform, allowing organisations to add intelligence to apps and workflows without requiring data science expertise. With prebuilt and customizable models—such as document processing, prediction, sentiment analysis, and object detection—business users can automate tasks that traditionally required manual effort or specialised software. This democratization of AI means teams can quickly embed intelligence into Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio and Power Pages to solve real business problems.

 AI Builder is Microsoft Power Platform capability (low-code / no-code capability). It allows business to integrate AI into apps and flows. You can create / Use AI models that optimise your business process.

It’s a turnkey solution and considered as a premium feature within the Power Platform ecosystem. It reequires AI builder credits or Copilot credits to operate. The credits assigned at an environment level. AI builder credits are provided as seeded capacity with specific Power Platform licenses and the credits are pooled at tenant level

Business Card Reader

• Business Card prebuilt model to extract information from business card images
• Format supported (JPG | PNG | BMP | PDF) – 50 MB max size

 Identity Document Reader

• Extract information from identity documents
  • Passports
  • Drivers license
  • Social Security
  • Green card
• Scanned documents are deleted once it is processed by the model
• Prebuilt model supports Latin character extraction

Recognize text in image or Document

• Text recognition prebuilt model extracts word from documents and images into machine readable characters
• Uses OCR to detect printed / handwritten text in images
• Model processes images and document files
• Document Format (JPG | PNG | BMP | PDF) – 20MB max doc size

Receipt Processing

• Receipt processing is a prebuilt model that uses OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to detect text (printed or handwritten)
• Extract key information from receipts
• Receipt processing is available in Power Apps by using receipt processor component

Invoice Processing

• Invoice processing prebuilt AI model helps extracts key invoice data
