Dataverse Search 

Dataverse Search can be enabled by enabling a switch within Power Platform Admin Centre. The below screenshot shows a model driven app with ‘Dataverse Search’ as disabled. 

Navigate to Power Platform Admin Centre. Select your current environment from the list and navigate to Setting area. Under Product, select Features and then within Search section, enable Dataverse Search to turn on search capability powered by Microsoft Dataverse. 

Quick Find View 

Quick Find View is basically used to configure the result of Quick Find result set. In the below screenshot, a quick find view for table Planet is under editing process. 

The below screenshot shows the results of Quick Find view which can be configured to display results in the desired format. 

In addition to the results configuration, the filters for Search query can also be modified using the side pane. (See Filters) 

Prevent Slow keyword filter 

The Prevent slow keyword filter basically restricts quick find option for a query which can result in large number of result sets. Searching using asterisks (*) may result in retrieving many record set at once which may slow down the system. Hence in order to block that capability this option can be set in the Power Platform Admin Centre for a specific environment. 

The below screenshot shows the result of “Prevent slow keyword for filter…” as turned on. Hence the system will not allow searching using asterisks (*) symbol, which in turn translates to multiple result set. 

Quick Find View (Grid Subgrid) 

 Quick find view for a Grid / Subgrid can be customized for custom table as seen below. 

Multiple columns can be configured in “Find By..” section which in turn will allow searching scope to expand to multiple columns.
