You can turn off Agents built using Copilot Studio in the Power Platform Admin Centre
Navigate to Power Platform Admin Centre and select ‘Licensing’ from the left pane
Under licensing section – Select ‘Copilot Studio’
Navigate to ‘Manage Agents’
Select any of your agents and under three dots select an option to ‘Turn Off Agents’.
This scenario is usually used when you have opted for a billing plan and you do not want your agent to consume unnecessary messages and increase utilisation (if agent is published for everyone – anonymous authentication). To reduce agent abuse by some malicious actors you can control cost overburn by using this feature.
Other scenario, would be to actually prevent cost over run by your internal team and cap your monthly usage to a set limit.
There is an option to set the Capacity limit (both at an agent level or at an environment level)
You can select the option to turn off agent when the agent consumption reaches 100%
Also, proactively you can get notifications if the agent is about to reach the threshold level
The below screenshot shows the configuration settings for capping the agent capacity consumption (messages / credit) at an environment level.
Environment level capping is shared across all the agents provisioned at an environment level.
In case you overrun your credit consumption in a month, you get an option to draw the capacity from the tenant pool.
